By application

For buyers who are actually buying.

A small register of importers, distributors, retailers and hospitality groups with a real requirement. Members get full specifications, honest harvest timing, documentation status and first call on short season produce. Every application is read by Andrew and answered either way. We are never paid by a buyer, so there is nothing to sell you here and no reason to admit anyone who does not belong.

We have not completed a shipment. The register opened in August 2026, and the substantive product documents arrive as producers sign. We would rather you knew that before you applied than after.

Closed register

For registered buyers only.

The inventory, full specifications and documentation status sit behind this gate and are not published to the open web. Registered buyers reach them on a private link issued after screening. Everyone else sees this page.

The standard

A named trading entity we can verify on a public register, in a market you actually import into, with a requirement you can describe in your own words. That is the whole bar, and it is not negotiable, because everything behind it belongs to somebody else.

A specification is a commercial document. It carries grades, test results, pack formats and shelf life, and it belongs to the producer who paid for the laboratory work. Publishing it to the open web hands a competitor a season of somebody else's effort, and a producer deciding whether to appoint us is entitled to know we do not do that.

An export enquiry also costs a producer real money before anyone has agreed to anything: samples, freight, laboratory work and time. We explain that in detail on how we qualify a buyer. The register is the same filter, applied earlier and more politely.

Who we turn down

Published here because a register that admits everybody is not a register, and because you are entitled to know the company you would be keeping.

  • Anyone we cannot identify. No registered entity, no verifiable trading name, or a free email address with no company behind it. Sanctions and entity screening are a legal obligation on us, not a formality, and a self certification from the party being screened is worth nothing.
  • Price shoppers. A request for a price list with no requirement attached is not a buyer, and answering it would cost a producer money to serve somebody who was never going to order.
  • Competitors and brokers collecting specifications. If the requirement reads like research rather than purchasing, we will say so and decline.
  • Anyone wanting exclusivity before a first order. That is the producer's decision to make after a relationship exists, not ours to promise before one does.

If we decline you we will tell you why, in a sentence, rather than leaving you waiting. If your circumstances change, apply again.

What registered buyers get

  • Full product specifications. Species, grade, analytical parameters with the test method, pack formats, shelf life and storage. Written to the format an importer's technical team actually needs, not a brochure.
  • Honest harvest and availability timing. Australian truffle runs mid June to late August, sourced to the Australian Truffle Industry Association, and we confirm first pick and last pick with the grower rather than repeating the range. Where we do not know a date, we say so.
  • Documentation status, before you ask. Which certifications a producer holds, the scope those certificates actually cover, and whether their site could clear your supplier approval. This is the question that kills deals at week six, so we answer it at week one.
  • First call on short season produce. Fresh Australian truffle is a ten week window and a grove yields what it yields. When a producer confirms a season's availability, the register is told first and allocation is offered in the order people are qualified, not in the order they ask. By the time a season is public it is spoken for.
  • A direct line to the producer once you are qualified. We are a disclosed agent, not a gatekeeper. Technical questions go to the person who makes the product, not to us.

What you will not find in there

A price list. That is deliberate and it is worth explaining, because most agency sites have one.

The producer sets their own price. It is the first thing we promise them and the reason a producer appoints us rather than selling to a trader. A published price list would set their price for them, in public, where their existing customers and competitors read it. So pricing is quoted against a real requirement, from the producer's own written confirmation, and never posted.

You will also not find a catalogue of goods we do not yet represent. As of today no producer has signed with us, and several are in conversation. A verbal yes and a returned mandate are different things, and we count only the second. When one signs, their documentation goes in and the register is told before anyone else.

Apply for access

Read by Andrew personally, usually within a working day. There is no automated approval and no instant link, because the screening is the point: a form that issued access on submission would be checking nothing. If you are admitted we send a private link. If you are not, we say so and why.

We are never paid by a buyer, so nothing here is being sold to you. See our privacy notice.

How we are paid, since you are about to trust us with a requirement

The Australian producer pays us a commission, and only after an order has shipped and they have been paid. We take nothing from you, we add no margin to the producer's price, and buying through us costs you no more than approaching the producer directly. We are not the seller, we never take title to goods, and you contract with the producer.

If we ever accepted a fee or rebate from a freight forwarder, certifier or anyone else on a transaction involving your order, we would have to tell the producer first and get their written consent. That is clause 12 of every mandate we sign.

Start a conversation. No obligation.

Tell us whether you are a producer or a buyer and what you work with, and you will get a straight answer from Andrew rather than a brochure. If we are not the right fit we will say so.
